Interest in geography & future goals: “I became initially interested in Geography by traveling but wanted to invest my time to study it after reading the book Guns, Germs, and Steel. This book shed light on the influence geography has had on society since the very beginning and motivated me to learn more. With my skills I hope to aide those involved in accomplishing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.”

Favorite thing about the department/degree: “My favorite thing about my degree was training in GIS. The incredible amount of applications for GIS software and spatial data is exciting and opens a lot of doors for truly interesting projects.”
