Dr. Hannah Sirianni & Colleagues Receive NC Sea Grant

Dr. Hannah Sirianni and her colleagues have been awarded a $460,000 North Carolina Sea Grant to help communities develop strategies for coastal protection. Hannah is a co-Pi and will work with PI Dr. Rachel Gittman in Biology, and co-PI’s Drs. Nadine Heck, Siddharth Narayan, Scott Leahy, Frank Lopez, and Sarah Spiegler to study the effectiveness of different substrates and designs for living shorelines. The project has a significant community engagement component and further reinforces the value and importance of geospatial expertise in regionally relevant research.
