Abdulahi Opejin Published Research on Air Pollution Exposure Assessment

Abdhulahi’s research titled, ‘Assessing Bias in Personal Exposure Estimates When Indoor Air Quality Is Ignored: A Comparison between GPS-enabled Mobile Air Sensor Data and Stationary Outdoor Sensor Data’ was recently published in Science of the Total Environment journal. His research focuses on the importance of considering indoor air quality in exposure assessment studies to mitigate uncertain geographical context problems (UGCoP) —which may lead to inferential errors or bias and might impact policy regarding public and environmental health. The bias could make it difficult to understand the health effects of air pollution and the disparities that may exist among different social groups.
