Research project/area
“My research area is in debris-flow modeling, simulating flows using an in-house flume and capturing their behaviors in 3D through photogrammetry. I chose my research topic of debris-flow modeling as it is the perfect junction between my interests in 3D modeling, geology, geography, and my ultimate goal of helping others.”
Why did you decide to join the graduate program in this department?
“I decided to conduct a master’s program with the ECU Department of Geography, Planning, and Environment as soon as I witnessed the department’s open-armed receptiveness and willingness to see my research interests satisfied. This decision was made easier upon noticing the top-notch quality of expertise shared among the department’s faculty.”
A fun fact about yourself OR your hobbies.
“I’ve worked in over 15 states as a geospatial tech and traveled through almost every other state in the contiguous U.S. between projects.”
