Abdulahi Opejin Receives an NSF Travel Award

Abdulahi Opejin received the prestigious National Science Foundation (NSF) Travel Award and an invitation to participate in the Natural Hazard Engineering Research Infrastructure (NHERI) Summer Institute at the University of San Antonio, Texas. He was among five graduate students who received this competitive nationwide award and joined early-career faculty in various engineering and social sciences fields, where he engaged in NSF grant proposal writing and workshops with various NHERI facilities that support innovative investigations for mitigating damage caused by hazards.
