“My research area is flood risk, insurance, and housing markets. I will be working on the challenges of high homeowners’ insurance premiums and the exit of insurance companies from high-risk coastal areas on housing markets in the coastal counties of North Carolina.”

Why did you decide to join the graduate program in this department?

“I got attracted to the Department of Geography, Planning and Environment for my graduate studies because of the department’s focus on coastal development risks, hazards & resilience, and climate dynamics & impacts which aligns with my interest. Also, the department has research networks with the ECU Center for Natural Hazards Research.”
