The minor in geography offers the opportunity to explores the connections between society, land use, landform processes and climate, and the cutting-edge geospatial technologies to link them. Students have a wide range of courses to choose from that compliment a variety of majors at ECU.

The geography minor requires 18 s. h. of credit from a combination of courses in the Department. This includes 3 s.h. of credit from the Geography and Environmental Systems course list, 3 s.h. of credit from the Global Environment and Development course list, and an additional 12 s.h. of credit from courses on either list. At least 6 s.h. must be above 2999:
